The Gallura not only is a region of beaches and Jet-set, but also a calm hinterland, lost in a lush vegetation. Tempio Pausania, which is characterized by its granite buildings, was until the second half of the XVIIIth century the capital of the region, more important than Olbia and his port. Indeed, it is situated at 43 kms from Olbia and at 35 from the North Coast (Badesi). At last, Buddosò, a half point between Tempio Pausania and Nuoro, at about 45kms from Olbia, is famous for its production of granite and cork.
