Calasetta is a little town of about 3000 inhabitants, located in the northern coast of the island of Sant'Antioco. The town is very quiet but it offers a lot of fun to its tourists. It is rich in local dainties, buyable in shops all over Calasetta or in the colourful market (on Wednesday) set in the near marina, where it is possible to buy fresh cheese, fruit and vegetables, oil and so on. Nearby the famous beaches of Sottotorre, accessible on foot by the marina, the Salina and Spiaggia Grande, all white sandy beaches overlooking a crystal sea water. During the evening the main street (via Roma) a pedestrian street, offers a lot of shops (open until night), caff è , restaurants, pizzeria and concerts.
